Lara L. Sharp

I am an engineer, teacher, administrator, baker, and musician. I have worked as a chemical engineer, a high school chemistry and engineering teacher, community college professor, and higher education administrator. My passion for STEM education was inhertited from my family–an engineer, science teacher, math teacher, and two nurses. I am a student centered educator focused on making sure students learn in a safe and encouraging environment.

The purpose of this blog is to share my reflections on creating a blended chemistry course.

I love to bake and decorate cakes. My first fancy cake was almost 3 feet tall depicting scenes from Cat in the Hat. And of course it was topped with the iconic red and white hat.

I am also a musician. I am a classicly trained violist and have been playing for over 40 years. My next goal is to learn how to play guitar.

My professional goal is to finish my doctorate.
